Ford stole Honda's thunder at NAIAS with the Ford GT, cockblocking the NSX. They probably knew about this, so they revealed they'd be selling the Civic Type-R (not pictured) globally only after Ford announced the Focus RS.

Right? For years Honda showed off the NSX concept and it eventually lost a lot of attention. Then out of nowhere Ford debuts the GT that not one person even knew was even being worked on and it steals the entire show while pushing the NSX into the back corner.

Yeah probably true but the type-R does absolutely nothing for me. Ford's awd 300+hp hatchback on the other hand more than certainly does. I am actually looking forward to placing an order for one soon. Also the NSX really just seems to be a step above vaporware. After all this time in development it really needs to kick ass otherwise people will just forget about it.

Wasn't there a week or two between the Civic and Focus announcements? Like yeah, nobody is talking about the a Focus now, but I think it has more to do with time passed than the Civic.
